The majority of people referred to Bloomfield come to us with some form of dementia: Alzheimer’s disease, early onset dementia, vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies, frontotemporal dementia, alcohol-related dementia, etc. Our experienced team understands the complex challenges faced by people with dementia, and their unique and individual needs.

Our aim is to treat the symptoms of dementia while providing a caring, stimulating environment for residents where they can feel comfortable and comforted.

We encourage social interaction and meaningful activity to help improve the quality of life of our residents, and our facilities are designed to provide real benefits. Access to the outdoors is very important for dementia patients and Bloomfield encompasses extensive outdoor areas with sensory gardens and panoramic views of Dublin. Our highly trained and dedicated staff encourage better eating habits, increased physical activity, and new friendships. We help our residents to rekindle their interest in their favourite hobbies and activities and reap the benefits of improved mood and increased alertness.
