New Lodge Nursing Home

Your visit will be safer for everyone if you have had your first round of COVID-19 vaccine and your booster dose, if it is available to you. But you do not need to show proof of vaccination or immunity before your visit.

When you should not visit

Do not visit a nursing home or residential care facility if you have:

  • COVID-19
  • recently been tested for COVID-19 – wait until you are told it is safe for you to visit

Further and current information is available on the NHI website.

New Lodge Nursing Home is a centre of excellence in the delivery of care to older adults who are medically frail, or have dementia or palliative care needs, in a comfortable and well-designed environment. New Lodge is a private 24-bed nursing home provided by Bloomfield Health Services, and registered as a designated centre with HIQA.

The focus of New Lodge Nursing Home revolves around the care needs and comfort of its residents. While we employ highly experienced personnel, it is the unspoken qualities of kindness and care behind those qualifications that make the difference between ‘a home’ and ‘home’.

Approved Centre

New Lodge Nursing Home

New Lodge is included as an approved centre for the Nursing Homes Support Scheme, which is a scheme of financial support for people who need long-term nursing home care. Under the Nursing Homes Support Scheme, you will make a contribution towards the cost of your care and the State will pay the balance. This applies whether the nursing home is public, private or voluntary.

The scheme has a number of steps and these are set out in the detailed Nursing Homes Support Scheme Information booklet, available through the HSE website »
