Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist

Due to the further development of our services, Bloomfield Health Services are inviting applications for a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist.

Role Summary

The role of the Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist is central to the effective assessment and treatment of all patients and will provide coverage across units and programs in the fulfilment of the key responsibilities, within the context of psychiatry of later life, rehabilitative services and general adult psychiatry.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Consultation to psychiatric and medical providers about modalities of psychological treatment on a case-by-case basis. This would include, among others modalities:
    • Provision of neuropsychological testing
    • Diagnostic Assessment
    • Interpretation of psychological and neuropsychological testing results
    • Communication of neuropsychological concepts, testing results, and findings to patient and families
    • Cognitive behavioural therapy
    • Supportive psychotherapy
    • Special techniques of group therapy within the psychologist’s area of expertise
  • Teaching/Academic and Research Interests
  • Provision of supervision for any neuropsychology trainees
  • Contributions to the educational experiences of other trainees, psychiatry, medicine, OT and Nursing etc
  • Interest in and support of research activities as needed here at Bloomfield as they arise
  • Contributions to programmatic developments on an ongoing basis
  • Supervise and assume responsibility for the proper performance of psychological activity in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Psychological Society of Ireland and within the philosophy and policies of Bloomfield Health Services.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the centre’s regulatory programme including Health & Safety and Risk Management standards.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational change programmes while being mindful of the History, Mission, and Quaker ethos of Bloomfield Health Services.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and competencies

Qualifications

  • Registered Psychologist with CORU (or be eligible to) and the Psychological Society of Ireland.

Experience

  • Have five years post registration experience.
  • Have established clinical and management experience in the area of Mental Health and Neuropsychology.
  • Have good knowledge and experience of health, safety and other statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organisation.
  • To be in a position to demonstrate good ‘people management’ experience and skills.
  • Be able to illustrate a high level of verbal and non-verbal skills in order to effectively communicate with and relate to patients, visitors, colleagues, management team and board members.
  • Be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
  • Be able to receive Garda Clearance as a person fit to hold the position of Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Bloomfield Health Services.
  • Experience in a healthcare / hospital setting.

Head of Quality, Risk & Compliance

Due to the further development of our services, Bloomfield Health Services are inviting applications for the Head of Quality, Risk & Compliance.

Role Summary

The post of Head of Quality, Risk & Compliance is a pivotal post with responsibility to coordinate all aspects pertaining to quality, risk and compliance at Bloomfield Health Services and its associated sites ensuring that the highest standard of reporting, follow up and implementation of actions are delivered and evaluated and that all targets and objectives are met in line with statutory, national and local standards.

Key responsibilities will entail overall responsibility to

  • Provide leadership and direction at technical level for the planning and implementation of quality, risk and compliance requirements which will include Risk Management, Quality Improvement Programmes, Standards including oversight of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, Governance, Complaints and Advocacy, User Involvement, Audit and the Management of Healthcare Acquired Infections.
  • Work with senior staff across the service in the implementation of quality, risk and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and implement within an agreed budget programme and action plan to provide the highest level of quality, risk and compliance.
  • Work closely and in a coordinated manner with the Health & Safety and Fire Officers.
  • Prepare and analyse quality, risk and compliance reports.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures in the areas of quality, risk and compliance.
  • Chair/ assist with Committees associated with Clinical Governance, Quality, Risk and Compliance.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational change programmes.

The successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Risk Management/ Quality in Healthcare or relevant third level or professional qualification in a health related field.
  • Masters in a Healthcare or Management discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of statistics or good understanding of data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a proven track record of working in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Flexible, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work on own initiative.
  • An aptitude and willingness to drive the agenda forward.
  • Fully computer literate and have excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.

Accountant

We are seeking applications for the position of Accountant for a full-time temporary role. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to join an experienced accounts team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision of the day to day operation of Bloomfield’s accounting function as follows: Debtors & Creditors, Payroll & Pension, Cash & Banking, Cash Flow Projections, Nominal/General Ledger, Statutory Returns, Budgeting & Variance Analysis
  • Preparation of monthly accounts , balance sheet reconciliations and reporting on budget variances as required for Bloomfield’s Board and Finance Committee Preparation of annual audit file and liaison with Auditors
  • Preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll
  • Implementing changes to structure of accounts required to comply with new accounting regulations and companies act
  • Liaising with the Health Service Executive and other statutory agencies regarding management of patient accounts, and prepare detailed reconciliations as necessary
  • Liaising with accounting and other staff as may be assigned to the area
  • Maintaining records and report to the Financial Controller in respect of patient property accounts
  • Supervision of accounts staff
  • Mentoring of Assistant Accountant

The successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Be a qualified ACCA, CIMA, CPA
  • Hold a Business/Accounting/Finance degree qualification
  • Will have a 3+ years’ experience in a similar role with experience in the preparation of accounts. (FRS102)
  • Experience in Payroll preparation
  • Possess strong MS Office, Accounting software knowledge
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent numerical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
