Piotr Jokiel wins NHI Activity Co-ordinator of the Year

Piotr Jokiel, Activity Co-ordinator at Bloomfield Care Centre took home the top prize at the NHI Care Awards held at Citywest on 10th November.
Piotr Jokiel has been the activity co-ordinator at Bloomfield Care Centre for five years, promoting and fulfilling many of the activity and social needs of residents within that time. On a given week, Piotr facilitates gardening, movie presentations, a mobile library, sonas therapy and art classes with the residents as well as providing one to one interventions with some residents. During the year, Piotr helped to co-ordinate such large events as the Bloomfield Olympics, Bloomfields' Got Talent, outings to the Grand Canal Theatre and concerts from local school choirs to the famous Vladimir Jablokov and the Slovak Festival Orchestra.
The NHI judging panel chose Piotr to take home the top prize of Activity Co-ordinator of the Year and Marty Whelan presented him with his trophy. Piotr's colleagues were there with him on the night to celebrate his success.
