Welcome to New Lodge Nursing Home
New Lodge Nursing Home is a service of Bloomfield Health Services and is a private 36 bed Nursing Home registered as a designated centre with HIQA. It is located on Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
It provides for excellence in delivery of care to Older Adults who are medically frail, or have Dementia or Palliative Care needs, in a comfortable and well designed environment.
The individual care plan is central to New Lodge Nursing Home’s approach to Person Centred Care. It also acknowledges that existing relationships with family and the local community are an important continuing link.
The focus of New Lodge Nursing Home revolves around the care needs and comfort of its resident’s. While we employ highly experienced personnel, it is the unspoken qualities of kindness and care behind those qualifications that make the difference between 'a home' and 'Home'
Bloomfield Health Services commenced its service provision in 1812 and was originally located in Donnybrook, Dublin 4 until 2005 when it moved to its current location which provides a state of the art environment for the care and treatment of its residents.
It is owned by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and is based on their ethos and principles. Today it continues to develop its leadership role in innovative, effective and quality treatment and care programmes for its residents.

Fair Deal – The Nursing Homes Support Scheme
New Lodge is included as an approved centre for the Nursing Homes Support Scheme, which is a scheme of financial support for people who need long-term nursing home care. Under the Nursing Homes Support Scheme, you will make a contribution towards the cost of your care and the State will pay the balance. This applies whether the nursing home is public, private or voluntary.
The scheme has a number of steps and these are set out in the detailed Nursing Homes Support Scheme Information booklet, available through the HSE website or by clicking on the link Nursing Homes Support Scheme
