Bloomfield Hospital is a service of Bloomfield Health Services and is a 114 bed Mental Health Hospital, registered as an approved centre with the Mental Health Commission.
It is a leading provider of mental health services. It specialises in the provision of Mental Health treatment and care to Older Adults providing services for persons with Acute, Serious and Enduring Mental Health disorders, complex Mental Health issues associated with Neuropsychiatric Disorders and Dementia.
Bloomfield Hospital commenced its service provision in 1812 and was originally located in Donnybrook, Dublin 4 until 2005 when it moved to its current location which provides a state of the art environment for the care and treatment of its patients. It is located at the foot of the Dublin mountains on Stocking Lane in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
Bloomfield Hospital is owned by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and is based on their ethos and principles.
Today it continues to develop its leadership role in innovative and effective treatment programmes for its patients. Treatment programmes and care plans are based on individual needs and formulated by an inclusive multidisciplinary team.
